No other nonprofit area that I have ever worked in have the people so consistently cared about the people that walked through the door than my library. Even on a bad day, the librarians and staff I work with are eager to find the right answers so that people can better their lives. They go out of their way to help the technologically left-behind, the reluctant readers, the new-to-towners, the need-a-little-bit-more-timers, and everyone else by providing a personal touch.
We want to help with no ulterior motive. How often can that truly be said in the modern world?
