Exciting News! Now available through Gale’s In Context suite of products is the ability for students to seamlessly login using Google Account credentials. The Gale In Context products that will provide this new Google functionality include Biography, Canada, Opposing Viewpoints, Science, Student Resources, U.S. History and World History. Now a Google for Education* partner, this new relationship supports Gale’s efforts to evolve from a traditional library content provider into the ed tech space by providing the educational technology, instructional tools and content to help our users be successful in school, work and life.

What’s New

Some of the changes you’ll see include:

  • Seamless User Login: users can login to their Gale In Context resource using their Google Account credentials
  • Integrated Google tools: once logged in, users can easily share and download articles—including their highlights and notes—using Google Apps for Education tools like Drive and Docs
  • Improved access: schools and libraries can provide students with access to their resources via apps available for free download through the Chrome Web Store. These product apps will provide an additional way and make it even easier for students, schools and public library patrons to easily access resources from their tablets and mobile devices.
  • Google Classroom integration: teachers and students can seamlessly assign or turn in content from third-party websites to Google Classroom via Google’s new Classroom share button. Gale is the first library content and technology provider to implement this feature.

Coming Soon

This fall we’ll integrate similar apps, authentication and tools within some of Gale’s other leading product families including the widely used GVRL, InfoTrac, and Kids InfoBits platforms.
