Last week, I brought my 3 year old to story time at the library for the first time. He seemed to really enjoy the story hour, but when the teacher asked what the letter of the week was, I knew he would not say anything. He doesn’t talk, even though he should. After class, I mentioned to the librarian that he doesn’t yet talk and she asked if I had ever heard of a social service agency that might be able to help him. I did not think this place would help me because I don’t have any health insurance, but she said it was for everyone regardless of income. She asked me to stay around for a moment while she called this agency to see if I would qualify for help. I stood there while she made the call, then she handed me the phone…We have an appointment for next week!!
