Clinton or Obama — Students Vote through Searches

In looking at the top searches run across Gale’s Student Resource Center product in 2008, it’s evident that nearly three times as many students are searching for Barack Obama over Hillary Clinton.  Not sure how predictive this is of the outcome of the Democratic nomination, but we thought that this would be an interesting little tidbit to share.  How are we using this information?  For one, we want to ensure that these students are getting the right results.  That’s why we plan our content additions and updates around statistics like these.  Also, all the obvious misspellings further push the need for a "Did You Mean" feature in all of our products — available now in PowerSearch and soon to be added to all the rest.
