Chattanooga Public Library’s First Career Online High School Student Graduates

Missy Forshee is the very first graduate of the new accredited high school diploma program for adults offered through the Chattanooga Public Library. Ms. Forshee was presented with her official diploma by Mayor Andy Berke on Tuesday, May 5 at 2 p.m. She celebrated at the library with her family and friends, including her daughter who is her motivation and inspiration to improve her life and earning potential.

A Day in the Life of the COHS Principal

Whenever I meet someone and they ask me what I do, I respond, “I am the principal of an online high school for adults who have not previously earned their high school diploma.” The reaction of people is always the same: “What does the principal of an online high school do? You don’t have to deal with behavior problems and since you’re working primarily with adults, you don’t have to work with parents either, like in a typical brick and mortar high school. So what do you do?”
