Career Online High School is an 18-credit vocation-based high school completion program that allows libraries to offer accredited high school diplomas and entry-level career certificates to adult learners.

Mother of four, Donetta McFarlane, earned her high school diploma through the Broward County Library and continued her path to learning by enrolling in Daytona State College. Now, with her bachelor’s degree, Donetta learned her passion: paralegal in immigration and legal aid.

“Going back to high school was a lot of hard work, but definitely worth it. My diploma opened the door to college for me so I can increase my wages and become more independent. The library staff was so helpful. I am really excited about my family’s future now!”
