From making access to resources and technology available to all to helping children and adults develop the skills they need to survive and thrive in a global information society, the public library has always been a knowledge hub for communities. That’s why, in 1958, the American Library Association founded National Library Week, a nationally recognized time to celebrate the contributions of libraries and librarians and to promote library use and support.
This year’s theme “Libraries Lead,” showcases the leadership of libraries and librarians, library staff, and volunteers in their communities and the role of libraries in supporting library users to develop and grow leadership skills. At Gale, we’re committed to supporting your efforts and we want to celebrate with you! We’re showing our love for libraries by sharing all the ways you partner with us to support patrons in their efforts to lead—and what better way to show you than with an infographic:
