At Gale, we understand the importance of designing databases that empower scholars, enrich their research, and simplify the journey along the way.

To that end, we are excited to announce that at the end of September, we will be launching a new bulk download feature in Gale Research Complete. With the cross-search feature, users are already able to search across all Gale Research Complete resources to discover the content they need. With this new tool, users will also be able to download up to 50 articles from search results during an individual session, supporting a more vigorous and efficient research experience.

The bulk download tool allows users to select up to 50 articles from search results and download them to a folder for later use. This feature has already been successfully implemented and well received in Gale Academic OneFile and Gale OneFile: Informe Académico, our Portuguese- and Spanish-language database.

Users can add documents from multiple searches to the folder throughout a single session, including the option to save documents to their personal workspace after exiting their Gale Research Complete cross-search session.

Gale Research Complete is an unparalleled digital bundle of primary and secondary scholarly sources. Bulk download is all about efficiency and convenience, enabling researchers to download multiple documents at once rather than individually.

This feature is especially useful for users who often need to gather large volumes of material for comprehensive studies. Whether conducting a quick literature review or undertaking an extensive project, the bulk download feature caters to different research scales and types.

Moreover, this update streamlines and focuses research by empowering users to collect all necessary material simultaneously and organize it later at their convenience. Users can easily archive downloaded content for future reference or create backups of their research materials, ensuring they do not lose valuable information.

After performing a search, users will have access to the bulk download tool in the following content buckets: Journals, Books, News, Magazines, Literature Criticism, Biographies, and Market Research & Cases.

As noted above, this feature is currently available in Gale Academic OneFile and Gale OneFile: Informe Académico.
