Disability Experiences: Memoirs, Autobiographies, and Other Personal Narratives features 200 narrative works that shed light on the lives of people with disabilities. The two volumes examine literary work from over 170 authors, one-third of whom are not from the United States.

Recently, Claudia Gillberg, an affiliate researcher at Jönköping University, wrote a review of Disability Experiences, calling it a “treasure trove”:

“It is a deeply impressive, beautiful treasure trove of narratives to which I will return often.”
— Claudia Gillberg, National Centre for Lifelong Learning, Jönköping University (Sweden)

Disability Experiences is available in print and eBook format on Gale eBooks.
