Helping Students Succeed

In 2014, for the first time, my library organized celebratory events for National Library Week. We invited students, faculty, and staff to submit speech bubbles with stories of how libraries had changed their lives. We received responses such as: “Thanks to our library, I have been able to keep up on my school work”, “The library gives us a healthy way to use our time”, “I couldn’t get through finals without the library!”, and “The library continues to expose me to the future!” These comments express my library’s story better than any words I could use. The services and spaces we provide are clearly valued by our students, and this only further motivates us to continue improving our engagement strategies.Nike
