When I was in the 4th grade 50 years ago, I went to a country school. The school didn’t have running water or an inside bathroom and it didn’t have a library. I could do without the running water and an inside bathroom, but I couldn’t do without books. I found out that a bookmobile from the library came once a month. I also found out that you could only check out 2 books a month. Luckily my teacher had realized how much I loved to read so she had them let me check out 14 books every time they came.
