We at Gale are continuously striving to improve our search experience for students, faculty, and librarians. We’ve heard for some time that researchers want to quickly identify documents with original PDFs in search results. We’re pleased to announce that beginning in early summer, a PDF limiter will be added to our menu of filter options. This new filter will be available in both search results and in Advanced Search, and articles with original PDFs will be identified with a PDF icon in search results.

Cross search users will now also be able to toggle between HTML and PDF views for documents that have original PDFs available, a feature that’s already available in many Gale Research Complete component databases.

Gale will continue to offer machine-generated, searchable PDFs for most other articles, ensuring that researchers can easily work with and save documents from their Gale Research Complete resources.
