Explore New Filter Option in Gale Literature and Gale OneFile

At Gale, we continuously strive to improve our search experience for students, faculty, and librarians. For some time, we’ve heard that researchers want to quickly identify documents with original PDFs in search results. That’s why we’re pleased to announce that a PDF limiter is now part of the menu of filter options in the Gale Literature and Gale OneFile products listed below. This new filter will be available in both search results and in Advanced Search. Articles with original PDFs will be identified with a PDF icon in search results.  

The Gale databases that now include the PDF filter are: 

Gale OneFile users are now able to toggle between HTML and PDF views for documents that have original PDFs available. This is a feature that’s already available in many Gale databases, including the literature resources noted above.  

Gale will continue to offer machine-generated, searchable PDFs for most other articles, ensuring that researchers can easily work with and save documents from their Gale Literature and Gale OneFile resources.
