Arte Público Press (University of Houston) is the oldest and most accomplished publisher of contemporary and recovered literature by U.S. Hispanic authors.
Gale is delighted to partner with Arte Público to digitize ten of their acclaimed titles, which appear exclusively on the Gale eBooks platform.
Further, one of the digitized titles, Recovering The U.S Hispanic Literary Heritage, Volume I, completes a reference set (9 volumes, plus 2 supplements). While the other ten volumes have been available as eBooks prior, only Gale can provide the 11-volume eBook set.
Gale’s Arte Público acquisition includes their recent offerings, along with other titles of continued value.
Many of the eBooks also enhance content in Gale’s Latino Social and Political History and Culture: Perspectives on the Chicano Movement and Women’s Studies archives. Within the archives, the “Related Resources” sidebar highlights eBook content to provide students with background information, context, and opportunities for deeper reading.
