Recently, we partnered with Booklist to produce a piece on the library being more than a safe space for the LGBTQ community. We spoke with past PLA presidents, ALA GLBTRT chairs, librarians, authors, and library-goers to create a wonderful document for the library community to read, share, and be inspired by.
As an advocate for the LGBTQ community, we support the efforts of libraries and encourage more people to join in the conversation. If you would like to share a story that is unique to your library, or learn about LGBTQ advocacy, we want to hear from you.
