Freedom House Detroit, a nonprofit organization founded in 1983, provides a temporary home for survivors of persecution from around the world. In 2012, Freedom House became a partner of the Northern Tier Anti-trafficking Consortium servicing victims of human trafficking. Their mission: to uphold a fundamental principle, one inscribed on the base of the Statue of Liberty, to provide safety for those “yearning to breathe free.”

This Valentine’s Day, Gale vowed to support Freedom House by offering employees the opportunity to purchase candy grams to be dispersed around the office. Each candy gram included a Hershey’s candy bar and a fun message delivered to the recipient’s desk early Valentine’s day. Gale employees purchased 554 candy grams, raising $1,210 for Freedom House.

We are so proud to partner with such an amazing organization and can’t get enough of our employees for their generous donations.
