CHOICE, a publishing unit at the Association of College & Research Libraries (ACRL), named the Women’s Studies Archive: Women’s Issues and Identities as one of their Outstanding Academic Titles of 2018. This year’s Outstanding Academic Title list includes 455 books and digital resources chosen by the CHOICE editorial staff from among the over 4,800 titles reviewed by CHOICE throughout the past year.

Classified as an “essential” and “rich” source for primary research, Women’s Studies Archive: Women’s Issues and Identities is the first in the Women’s Studies archive and traces the path of women’s issues from past to present.

“One of the best features is the interdisciplinary and transnational nature of the content. Users can explore ‘the dynamism and interrelatedness of women’s social activism.’ Gale offers a straightforward interface, source citations, collection overviews, document management tools, the functionality of browsing digitized material as archival collections, and the ability to link and cross-search capabilities in other Gale primary source modules. All of this makes it a ‘a wise investment for any academic library.’”
