My kids and I moved to America 6 years ago. We knew no one except my husband and his family. Through programs offered by our library (storytimes, book clubs, craft programs, movie nights and other themed events) we met people. We engaged and we became part of a community. It became an intransitable part of our lives. Now 6 years later my kids still love the library. They know the children librarians by name, they know how to use the Dewey system to look for books, they can rent movies, games, eBooks and audio books as well as traditional print products. More importantly, having an environment conducive to reading, to learning and to imagination has truly led to them loving to read, a gift that will hopefully last them a lifetime.Calzado Nike
