A patron came into the library one afternoon and was waiting patiently at the staff counter. I asked him if he needed any help and he did say someone was getting some hold items for him. He proceeded to tell me that he was so thankful we had the process of reserving items, notification and easy pickup. He mentioned the items are on hold for his disabled daughter who doesn’t come into the library as he picks the items up for her. He expressed his thankfulness that we do this and it makes things so easy for him and his daughter. This just made me consider the ways we impact our community without even being aware of the benefits!
