Exciting Citation Enhancements Now Available in Gale Products

Chicago-Style Citation Tool Now Available!

Gale is happy to announce that Chicago-style citations are now available in Gale products! The new citation format adheres to the Chicago Manual of Style, 16th edition. The option is displayed when a user clicks on Citation Tools, and Chicago-style citations can easily be grouped and downloaded to Google Drive or Microsoft OneDrive. Chicago appears in all products that contain the Citation Tools feature, with the exception of Early Arabic Printed Books; it will be added to this product by the end of the year.

Microsoft Integration Added to Gale Products

Many of Gale’s products now offer Microsoft Office 365 integration, further enabling users to access Gale content anytime, anywhere, and from any device.

These easy-to-use collaborative tools allow users to:

  • After authentication into your Gale products, login to Microsoft Office 365 with your Microsoft credentials
  • Store, sync, and share files by downloading Gale content to your OneDrive account in the cloud
  • Easily transfer downloaded OneDrive content for use in other Microsoft tools like OneNote and Classroom

Product Updates for Literature Resources

On December 21st, Literature Resources Center, LitFinder, and MLA International Bibliography will fully transition to a mobile-responsive interface, with enhanced features. The outstanding content remains the same, as well as the ways you search. Here are the exciting changes coming to your library:

  • Google Drive Integration: After authentication, users can seamlessly login with their Google Apps for Education account to access tools like Google Drive and Docs Learn more
  • New Look and Feel: Modern design with high-quality and easy-to-use toolset
  • Mobile Responsive Design: Optimized for all screen sizes, regardless of device
  • Improved Navigation: Content featured in prime locations with toolbars and filters on the right
  • Enhanced Accessibility: High-contrast banners and improved tool buttons make web content easier to locate

No Action Required: If your library has yet to upgrade to the new experience, an automatic migration will take place on December 21st. If your library took advantage of an early migration, we hope you are enjoying your new experience!
